Holy Diver and the Bible!!!!

I think Ronnie James Dio is a huge Bible fan!

So I have been reading the bible as I previously mentioned. I am really digging it! I would say this is definitely right up there with such epic works as War and Peace by Tolstoy which I had the pleasure to read while I lay in a hammock in Nicaragua while serving in the Peace Corpse from 1995-1997.

The Bible is an epic adventure of untold proportions. Wow... combine history, fable, strength, weakness, pain and struggles, triumph, defeat, victory, loss, suffering, sadness, elation, adventure, peace, war, Now mix all that with poetry, humor, wisdom, teachings and philosophy.

I am still working my way through the good book. I would say i am about 40% through. Ok maybe only 35%....it's a long book! Man.... I am feeling good about my progress. Just like War and Peace... it does get bogged down in names and places at times... but it picks back up! I feel really good and definitely I am feeling good about my progress. I am simultaneously reading World history books and geographical books to align all these events and to filter it all out. I mean everything must be read through a scholarly yet receptive and reticent prism in order to search for true meaning! Now shall we progress?

O.K. Holy Diver? I mean what the fuck right? How can I put Holy Diver by Ronnie James Dio: lead singer Black Sabbath, Rainbow and Dio in the same context of the Holy Bible? Well do not let ignorance blind your vision... Ronnie was singing about all those epic stories that I have been reading about in the bible. The highs and lows... the strengths and weaknesses. The struggles and battles.

At times we all must face this battle. Negative waves of evil and darkness will confront us. These are the times we must look deep within our souls, we must hunker down and let the storms rage above our head, we must keep calm and look for inner solace. Let the fury rage above our heads and not through our hearts. Let all that pain and negativity decompress and deflate. This darkness can come from even the closest places we least expect.

However, no matter how hard the fury rages... no matter how much fear our enemy tries to invoke.... all that strength and that mighty storm will collapse and dissipate just as fast as it flew into our lives. I know... I have been fighting the good battle for the last 2 weeks! At a certain point you will realize that you have seen the summit of a person's evil. You have seen the best that this rage has to show you!

At this point you will now have the strength to rise up, assess your damages, gather your wits, flex your muscle and come down with a mighty fury on this evil! You soon realize.... You are a fighter! You are the True Power! Now you stand tall! You scream to the evil, "That's it" ? "That's all you have"? 9 times out of 10 you don't even have to do battle.

The great fury will now cower away and run. Your words will send fear to not only this negativity but to all the negativity that is near. In the unlikely event that you must do battle, your strength is so omnipotent your enemies are crushed in battle! These are the times we ride the tiger!!!!!

Between the velvet lies
There's a truth that's hard as steel
The vision never dies
Life's a never ending wheel

Holy Diver
You're the star of the masquerade
No need to look so afraid
Jump on the tiger
You can feel his heart but you know he's mean

Some light can never be seen
Race for the morning
You can hide in the sun 'till you see the light

Oh we will pray it's all right
